Lorri Ackerman, Founder

“I truly believe that a group of powerful women can do anything.”

While visiting South Carolina in the the Fall of 2019, I learned of a format of donating money to local charities with 100 % of the donations going to the cause. Little did I know that the visit would be life-changing for me and so many others. When I returned home, I gathered a small group of good friends, shared the idea, and “100 Women Bridging Hope” was born!

After years of volunteering at my girls’ schools as well as participating in YMCA fundraising events, I struggled to find additional opportunities to fill my passion for charity. “100 Women Bridging Hope” has provided me with plenty of new outlets to give back to the community while also filling my life with more joy than I ever could have imagined. This experience has opened my eyes to the hundreds of amazing people and organizations in our area that are in desperate need of funding. For over 25 years I lived in Pennington and Titusville, NJ and currently reside in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. I am the proud mother of two beautiful, motivated young women who push me to be better each day. As an avid animal lover, I compete with my horse in Dressage competitions and also turned one of my other passions, training dogs, into a successful, small business.

"Community groups that stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen communities have been making a difference for a long, long time. 100 Women Bridging Hope is empowering those efforts. Our goal is simple and measurable: 100 women, 100 donations, every 100 days...or less!"
